Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MGS Collection
This is the best MGS collection I could ever ask for. It was EXACTLY like the orginal ps1 and ps2 versions. All I can say is that if you're a MGS fan, you should get this collection and play it for yourselves!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Liquid Snake
Well I played Metal Gear Solid 4, and after I beat it I wanted to know more of the back story. I looked up Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection, for this offered $30 for all 3 games. This was perfect, no searching around everywhere buying separate overpriced games.

MGS1 was early PSX technology, it was one of the newer 3d games at the time. Like all MGS's it's mainly stealth gameplay. The enemy soldiers are the easiest of the MG series. It's a good introduction into the gameplay until later titles. Your main character is Solid Snake who has to rescue 2 hostages, but the mission becomes much more. He has to stop the Metal Gear, a weapon of destruction. The villians in this one ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Outstanding Deal
This is a great product if you are starting Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 that is what I did and stopped 3/4 of the way through to go back play the other games so I would know all the references, and story line and have to say that now I know the full and whole story of the Metal Gear World and I am glad I do, plus you get all those hours of play for just a little money, the graphics are something many will find lacking in the first game but it was only psone it is not the cgi cut scenes of the Final Fantasy games but still very good overall. Buy this game if you want hours of fun for very little cost.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome
Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection
VERY GOOD!! the only things I didn't like was that #1 didn't have improvesd graphics like I was hoping for and they only give out Disc 1 of MGS 3: Susistance but other than that it's great!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MGS Collection - Great for those who were intimidated by these games!
This collection was a great way for me to get introduced to the MGS series of games! Since the first game I always thought that Metal Gear Solid games were just overhyped, but then my opinion changed and I decided to give them a try when I saw this...

Thanks for a great product! Nice, protective package with all the separate manuals and everything!

Blogs | Appliweb Project

Welcome to my new project : Appliweb !

With Appliweb, I'll try to create a successfull opensource project, for a subject that I find most important: web development.

By successfull opensource project, I mean:

  - A Project with lots of (other) people involved

  - A Project  that will help people.

  - A Project I will eventually earn money with.

For this,

  - I've rent  a shared-server to an ISP: planetwork. A friend of mine (here) recommended them to me.

  - I setup a Joomla project, with blogs and comments and forums

  - I wrote some articles explaining my ideas and how to create them

It's the  first project that I didn't start by writing the code ! Others have failed, even if many people still looks into them....

Now the website is ready, I will begin to write some code (in javascript ! eechhhh).

I'm waiting to have something to show before I write about it in my favorite websites !

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

A new SDN article delves into the related commands.

The country's highest court says charging the obese for an extra seat is discriminatory. Although the ruling applies only to domestic flights, it could pave the way toward similar policies in other countries that have been grappling with the issue.
